Needless to say, you can get paint in almost any color imaginable. But not all paints are available in all colors. Stains are generally available only in earth tones and may be either opaque, transparent, or semitransparent.When painting over an already painted surface, use an oil-base paint over an oil-base paint, or acrylic latex over acrylic latex. Don't mix, or you'll get chipping.
